behind the scenes

THE FOUNDERS

Sacer's founders, May & Ali, a psychologist & medical doctor respectively; are long standing advocates of de-stigmatizing Mental Health, & striving for environmental and social impact through their homegrown Egyptian circular advocacy apparel streetwear brand Sacer (Sat-cher).

With a combined 25 year experience in the United Nations, medicine, health economics, & mental health. They decided to use fashion as a tool to reach marginalized communities. They believe a multifaceted & comprehensive approach is integral to healing our societies and planet.

"We weren't thinking of how to turn this into a lucrative business, we wanted to create jobs in humane working environments. When we first started in 2018, none of this environmentalism was sexy or trendy in Egypt or around the world." May and Ali

THE BRAND

WHO ARE WE?

We’re not just making clothes—we’re creating a movement.

Sacer is where sustainability meets style, and where ethical streetwear becomes a statement. Proudly homegrown in Egypt, we’re a women-owned, women-led brand with 75% of our team being the incredible women who bring our vision to life. Female empowerment isn’t just a tagline for us—it’s woven into everything we do.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Since day one, we’ve said ‘no’ to the fast, the cheap, & the disposable. Instead, we’re here to challenge the system. We’ve spent years perfecting our process, designing fashion that’s not only sustainable but sparks conversations about mental health & social justice.

That’s why we’re constantly rethinking every thread, every stitch, and every product—not just to create fashion, but to create real change. Together, we can build a more conscious, thoughtful way forward.

OUR SUPPLY CHAIN

From seed to closet, our supply chain is fully traceable, ensuring transparency every step of the way.

Our pieces are made from upcycled pre-consumer waste and 100% GOTS certified Organic Egyptian cotton, designed for comfort and crafted with care. Soft, breathable, and lightweight, our fabrics come in vibrant colors and inclusive fits—because we believe everyone should feel seen and celebrated.
